No Rules 365: Weekly Recap: Week 3

Wow! What a crazy week?!?! Started off sick and ended up with the craziness of an early dismissal day and another snow day! Throughout all the madness of everything here are my shots for this week. As random as they may be… such is my life! LOL!

This is an original formula Ski. If you do not know what ski is, it is the nectar of the gods! It’s a wonderful regional drink that is sold in south central Kentucky. It is wonderful! Thank you Rudy for thinking of me and bringing me this wonderful bottle of goodness! IMG_6510

This is a picture out the window of my classroom on the day of our early dismissal. The snow starting coming and came down fast!

I got to dress-up and go to a murder mystery dinner on Saturday night. I had a friend of mine do my hair and I put on fake eyelashes, just for added fun! We all had a blast!

IMG_0005

This is my ceiling fan… or part of it. I remembered after I laid down that I still needed to do my 365 and I didn’t want to get up. So I took this shot and used an app to edit it all funky like… LOL!

IMG_0001

This is another, OH CRAP gotta take my 365 shot, shot!! This is our front door with the light from the porch shining through. Nothing special.

IMG_0004

This is my stack of Cricut Cartridges. Trying a different perspective.

IMG_6455

This is the emblem on my bag that I use for school. It’s the greatest bag ever! I love it and get TONS of compliments on it!

That’s it… My craziness for the week! Hope you like it, please leave me a comment and tell me what you think!

No Rules 365: Weekly Recap: Week 2

I know, I’m late on this one too, but WHO CARES?? This is my NO RULES project…. SO… YAY, for it being ok that I’m late! :)

Here goes nothing….

I’m sure that these are not in the correct order, but it has been a crazy week or so.

Here is a shot of Neela doing her, “Don’t play with your phone, Love on me” lean… in case you didn’t recognize that. She’s not spoiled rotten, I promise. HA! IMG_6487

I ran in the Snowman Shuffle 5k on Saturday. I was very proud of myself, because I had my best time ever, across the board… YAY! GO ME!!!

IMG_0002

This is me, realizing that I need to do my 365 shot, but not wanting to get out of bed to do it…

IMG_0003

Sweet Neela again, curled up in bed with me one morning. She is such a good morning snuggle bunny!

IMG_0005

Me doing my grades. Grades were due, and I was up terribly late doing them. The joy of 6 week grading periods.

IMG_0007

My new Creating Keepsakes Magazine. I love to scrap, but it seems like I don’t have any time to do it anymore. Guess that’s something I need to make time for.

IMG_0008

We had a snow day! Yay, because I had a chance to use my new YakTrax. I put them on and did three miles the the quiet peaceful snow. It was actually a quite enjoyable run. I will be doing it again, probably every snow day we have!

Project Comp: Week 2 and 3

I have had a pretty crazy week, Ok REALLY crazy week. It’s been completely off since last Saturday night. Hopefully this snow day will help me get back on track. Due to the afore mentioned “CRAZY WEEK” I am posting two of my weeks on one post. This means that I am late with one post and early with the other…. compromise people… comp*pro*mise…. It’s a wonderful thing!
***********************************
I have a feeling you will be seeing more that a few shot of queen Neela. I love taking pictures of her, and she is usually readily available. If you get tired of her just let me know, but I think she is pretty darn cute.

My 3rd week’s shot is not of Neela… shock… I know. This is a shot I took when I got home from the early dismissal we had from school. The snow was really coming down, but it had only slightly reached under the front porch. I have this beat up old chair sitting on the porch and I liked the contrast of the snow in the seat with the tattered look of the chair itself.

Amanda + Brad: Married! Louisville Wedding Photographer

You may remember this couple from their engagement session.  They are absolutely the sweetest couple and family (we can’t leave out little miss “O”) Their wedding, which was held at the Frazier Historical Arms Museum, was so beautiful. The evergreen trees and poinsettias were perfect seasonal touches. Here is a sneak peek into their amazing evening….

I loved the plantation shutters that covered the window. I have always been and will always be a sucker for beautiful clean white plantation shutters!

Amanda is so beautiful! All of the touches were very classic and elegant, all the way down to her pearl necklace.

Project Comp 52: Week 1

I have agreed to partner up with Wendy of Wendy C Photography in Nashville TN and do a 52 week Photography project where we work on honing our skill of composition. We were going to attempt a 365 project for this purpose, but decided that it was in the best interest of our sanity to take it down to a 52 week project instead. So I have a couple of pictures for this weeks entry because I started out with the 365 in mind. I’m sure there will be other weeks where I may have more than one shot, but I’m positive it’s not going to be an every week thing! LOL!

Week 1 of 52

I just love Neela’s feet! They are so big and powerful, yet most of the time she crosses them so daintily (See previous post of 365 shots). I am also a fan of square crops. I know it’s not the norm, and maybe that’s why I like them, but I do.

IMG_6447

My sister got me some old cameras to use as props or decoration, I decided to practice a little “high key” setting in some white shelves that I had purchased for my classroom. Over all I am please with how this shot came out.

No Rules 365: Weekly Recap: Week 1

So I have been able to keep up with my 365 this week!! YAY GOOO ME!! Even though I haven’t been posting them (which is ok, by my rules) I have been doing them. I am going to try and post a weekly recap every week of my 365’s.

This week in review….

I went to see Yogi Bear in 3D!! Loved it!

021

I love all of the colorful paper clips I have on my desk at work!! They make me happy.

019

After my first attempt at Krav Maga. I ended up using these… I pulled a muscle in my back but kept on going!

018

Went out to dinner with my brother, SIL and my niece. It was my SIL’s birthday and they were all dressed up!

020

Neela is my over grown lap dog. She LOVES nothing more than to be right up on top of you. She is definitely an attention hog!

031

I attempted to put in some grades for this grading period on Friday night, but low and behold the district’s server was down… shucky darn.

022

This is the only shot that I took with my 7D this week. All of the other ones were with my iPhone. Neela always crosses her feet, and of course I think it’s super cute!
